Cavallo Point wedding | Sausalito

Anna and Michael got married at the Cavallo Point in Sausalito on 01.15.11 and I must say, we really got lucky with the weather. As Michael pointed out, the last time the weather was so good in January was 1967 :)
Enjoy!

St. Regis, city hall, One Market wedding || hollie & alan

Hollie and Alan’s wedding was a City-wide event. All the fun started at the modern and posh St. Regis Hotel near the Museum of Modern Art. I loved the HELP ME sign that Alan made to show to the camera. While the guys donned their low-top Converses, Hollie finished up her elegant, polished look.  All ready now and time to head to City Hall.

If anyone ever doubted that a wedding at San Francisco City Hall can be rich with history and elegance, Hollie and Alan’s wedding is proof positive of what a sensational venue this is. We got to set up cameras on two levels. Now everyone can see in the video the view from above which they couldn’t see while the wedding proceeded on the main floor.

This wedding didn’t slow down as we boarded a bus and headed around the City for more photo ops. I had a crazy time shooting this really great couple and their wedding party at the Palace of the Legion of Honor. I thought this great looking group fit perfectly, getting a chance to blow off some steam between the columns.

Thanks to the headwinds at the Golden Gate Bridge, we got some really great footage as the wind carried Hollie’s veil. Was that a totally romantic look or what?

Not to be missed, we were off to One Market for the rockin’ reception.

What a day! Hollie and Alan are a fun and funny pair. It’s all the great couples like them that make my job so cool. Thanks Hollie and Alan.

San Francisco University Club Wedding || Georgia & Sui

I had such great time at this wedding. Georgia and Sui are a really cute couple. I’d never shot a wedding at the San Francisco University Club on Nob Hill before. Wow! The views from floor-to-ceiling windows are awesome. It’s hard to beat views of the City from the top of Nob Hill. The interiors of the club are a knockout too. This was such a winning venue. The University Club is the real thing: real Old San Francisco.

If you look carefully, you can see that I shot some of this wedding in Super 8 film. What a different feeling it gives. It sort of gives the wedding some automatic history, a permanent look and feeling.

It’s a privilege to be invited into the bride’s home for the traditional Chinese celebrations before the wedding. I didn’t stay too close when the firecrackers were lighted on the doorstep though.

After the wedding we got into the limousine and drove around the City to shoot some San Francisco scenes. We stopped in Chinatown of course and several other cool spots in the City by the Bay.

Georgia and Sui, I loved your vows and your spirit. Thank you so much for letting me be part of your day. Happy Valentine’s Day and many more to come!

the omni hotel wedding || heather & bryan

How cool is it for a wedding to take place on 10/10/10? Perfect for me as I packed my gear and headed to the super elegant OMNI Hotel in downtown San Francisco for Heather and Bryan’s wedding. They consider it more than a venue, since it’s where they met. Perfect, no? Beautifully decorated just for them, the place looked lit up like never before.

Heather and Bryan are a truly wonderful, warm and charming couple. Heather’s smile could melt hearts – in fact it did. Just ask Bryan.

Heather and Bryan met at dance class and they wowed the crowd with their moves at their reception. They glided and spun on the dance floor, perfectly in synch . It was a wow!

Thank you City of San Francisco for providing California Street as it waves upward toward Nob Hill with cable car tracks shimmering in the night light. This made for some fabulous shots as we stood right in the middle of the street. Yep. It was a blast. The passing motorists only added to the elegance and atmosphere.

I had  a wonderful time. Thank you so much, Heather and Bryan.

Melissa & Tam | highlights

I previously filmed Melissa and Tam’s Love Story and I looked forward to the wedding. Or better yet: The Party. A huge celebration with family and friends made this wedding a smash hit.

Reserving the date far in advance was essential for Saints Patrick's Church in San Francisco, since it’s one of the most desired wedding venues in the City.

The long, graceful trip down the aisle was made even more precious by the ring bearer, who looked only a few months old, rode a wagon, the Radio Flyer kind, fabulously decorated for the wedding, and was pulled by a page boy. That shot was a first for me. I love those firsts.

A party bus, complete with cocktails—oh yeah—drove gaily about the City and we eventually disembarked at the San Francisco Galleria for the reception. The Galleria was decorated ultra-glam. Melissa and Tam made a grand entrance and sprung onto the spotlighted dance floor, and broke out some happy, happy moves.

Best wishes Melissa and Tam. Thanks for the wonderful day.
